SANTA FE, N.M. (KRQE) – Highlighting important issues for women coming up in this year's legislative session, the New Mexico Commission on the Status of Women is hosting its first Women's Day of Action on January 28. Everyone is invited to attend the event, which will be held from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Roundhouse in Santa Fe. The Day of Action will highlight important issues for women and girls and offer tips on how to best communicate with state leaders. No registration is required to attend the event. Bernalillo County hosting pet adoption event "The New Mexico Commission on the Status of Women envisions a New Mexico where all women and girls have equitable opportunities to be healthy, secure, and thrive without the harms of discrimination or bias," says the commission.
