Jefferson Parish deputies, firefighters investigate fatal Bridge City fire

BRIDGE CITY, La. (WGNO) — Firefighters in Jefferson Parish are investigating the cause of a Bridge City fire that left a man dead on Sunday, Jan. 19.
Around 11:50 p.m., members of the Bridge City Volunteer Fire Company and the Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office responded to a house fire in the 200 block of Oak Drive.
Arrest made after fatal Interstate 10 crash in New Orleans
When they arrived, deputies and firefighters found the home engulfed in flames.
The fire was extinguished and officials reported finding an unresponsive older adult man suffering from fire-related injuries.
Crash in Belle Chasse causes temporary water outage
He was pronounced dead on the scene.
The man's identity will be released after an autopsy is done and the family is notified.
