Cold Blast Keeps Temps in Single Digits Monday into Tuesday Morning

(Courtesy of AlphaMedia Lincoln)LINCOLN–(KFOR Jan. 20)–A push of Arctic air from Canada down into the central plains and much of the Midwest caused wind chills anywhere from 12 below to 15 below zero in the Lincoln area on Monday morning.
National Weather Service-Valley lead meteorologist Laurel McCoy tells KFOR News Lincoln could see a high of only 9 above on Monday. She says there will be one more frigid morning on Tuesday, as winds calm down, with temps around 10 below. Temperatures will rebound Tuesday afternoon into Wednesday.
A Cold Weather Advisory, which used to be called a Wind Chill Advisory, is in effect until noon Tuesday.
