HARLAN COUNTY, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – A man is in custody following a series of fires that damaged three buildings in the Cranks community early Sunday morning. Kentucky State Police say 24-year-old Gordon Fultz has been charged in connection with the fires. According to authorities, troopers were sent to the scene after reports of three structure fires in the area. While en route, officers received information that Fultz was allegedly attempting to start another fire inside an abandoned trailer on Garrett Hollow Road. When troopers arrived, Fultz left the scene, but was apprehended shortly after. Fultz is facing multiple charges, including arson, assaulting a police officer, resisting arrest, and reckless driving. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact Kentucky State Police.
