LA CROSSE, Wis. (WFRV) - Police say one man is dead and a suspect is in custody following an early Sunday morning shooting in Wisconsin. According to a release from the La Crosse Police Department, officers responded around 2:30 a.m. to the 1800 block of George Street for reports of shots being fired. Life-saving measures were immediately performed and the victim, 42-year-old Justin J. Betz, was taken to the hospital where he was later pronounced dead. Officials say 28-year-old Cody R. Police report that Alland is currently being held at the La Crosse County Jail and faces a pending charge of 1st Degree Intentional Homicide. No other information is available at this time.
