CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) -- The threat of winter weather has prompted a wave of government office closures across the Lowcountry this week.
An area of low pressure is expected to pass to the south and offshore by the middle of the week, bringing dangerous wind chills and winter precipitation to the region overnight Tuesday through Wednesday. Hazardous road conditions could continue into Thursday as wet roads may refreeze.
