Dangerous cold to deliver arcticlike Tuesday morning

The National Weather Service is expecting Tuesday morning to be a blast of slicing cold air and has such will be putting the area in both a cold weather advisory and extreme cold warning.
Temperatures will drop to around -17 during the early morning hours of Tuesday with wind chills of between -25 and -35 expected during the cold weather advisory. However, at the height of the cold, wind chills could slip even further to -35 and -45.

Both the advisory and the warning will go into effect tonight at 6 p.m. with the warning lasting until 9 a.m. Tuesday morning.
People are advised to dress in layers and to prevent pipes from freezing, wrap or drain or allow them to drip slowly.
