SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) -- Just one day before Donald Trump's presidential inauguration, hundreds gathered Sunday at San Francisco's Civic Center for a rally against the incoming commander-in-chief. Many people at the rally said they're fed up with both the Democratic and Republican parties -- like Jessica Mataka -- who says they have failed the U.S. “I want to be part of a group that’s organizing for everyday people’s rights that cares about people over profits and government that is not ruled by corporate interest,” Mataka said. "There’s not freedom for any of us until there is freedom for all of us.” Mataka says she's worried about the corporate greed that comes with today's U.S. politics. Without it, many problems could be solved. Mataka says she was proud to stand with everyone on Sunday. “Everyone is coming together because we have a common enemy that is U.S. imperialism," Mataka said. "To me, it's really amazing to see people recognizing those threats and coming together.”
