Snow totals are expected to reach 4-6″ inches the northwestern part of Providence county and decrease to a rage of 2-4 inches for much of the state due to it the fact that it take longer for the rain to turn to snow. The lowest snowfall amounts will be along the coast, where we’ll likely only see a 1-2 inches by Monday morning. Luckily, with Monday being Martin Luther King Jr. Day, fewer people will be on the roads for the Monday morning commute. That said, we do have Winter Storm Warnings and Winter Weather Advisories out for this storm through Monday morning. You will want to take the opportunity as soon as possible to try and get the snow cleared because once its there it will last the entire week as an Arctic blast of air will be settling in with morning wind chills Tuesday and Wednesday making it feel like its below zero and daytime highs will only climb to the teens!
