CHARLOTTE, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — A 17-year-old boy has died after a shooting Saturday afternoon in northeast Charlotte, according to the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department. Around 4 p.m. on Saturday, officers responded to the 8700 block of Hollow Creek Circle about someone needing medical assistance. When they arrived, they found the victim, 17-year-old Cayden Morgan Casanova, with a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene, officials said. This is still an active investigation.
