SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) -- A loud boom resonated through an El Cajon neighborhood Sunday afternoon when a pickup truck slammed into the garage of a home, causing it to collapse onto the roof of the vehicle and trapping the driver inside. The collision happened at 1:17 p.m. Sunday when a Ford F-150 reportedly lost control and drove into the garage of a home in the 1000 block of Prescott Avenue in El Cajon, authorities report. The driver was taken to the hospital; it is unclear the extent of his injuries at this time. No one in the home was injured, however the Red Cross was called in to assist the residents as they cannot stay in the home at this time.
