It was a cold day across the region today with many places north of I-40 not making it above freezing. Temperatures will drop significantly overnight once again with the entire region below freezing, along with wind chill values sub-zero for many.
Monday also marks another blast of arctic air into New Mexico. This air will be much colder than the first arctic blast we saw on Saturday. Many locations could see record low high temperatures Monday afternoon. The largest impact though will be seen on Tuesday as the entire state will start out well below freezing. Wind chill will have most of the state in the single digits to negatives.
