3 juveniles detained after Midtown police chase

MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- Three juveniles are in custody and three more males are on the run after a police chase in Midtown.
At 3:31 p.m., officers located a white 2014 Ford Mustang and a white Toyota Avalon that were involved in a carjacking in the area of Stratford Rd and McCrory Ave.
Officers attempted to stop the vehicles, but they refused, and a pursuit was authorized.

The carjacked white 2014 Ford Mustang wrecked out at E Parkway N and Sam Cooper Blvd.
All three occupants were juveniles and were taken into custody after a brief foot pursuit.

The second suspect vehicle, a 2006 white Toyota Avalon four-door sedan, struck two private vehicles on Sam Cooper and E Parkway.
One female driver was checked at the scene for possible injury, but no injuries were reported.

The second suspect vehicle, the 2006 white Toyota Avalon with front-end damage, was occupied by three Black males.
It was located and found still running at S. Cooper St. and Elzey Ave, where the occupants bailed.
Police say this is an ongoing investigation.
