Tracking dangerously cold air through midweek

After we wrapped up last week with some mild January days, we're going to be dealing with arctic air for the first part of this week.
We have issued 15 Fury Alert Days for Monday and Tuesday, as wind chills drop to dangerously low levels.
15 Fury Alert Days issued for extreme cold
The National Weather Service has issued a Cold Weather Advisory for this dangerous cold. It will last until 10 AM Wednesday.
A Cold Weather Advisory is in effect until 10 AM Wednesday.
This cold weather product is new from the National Weather Service and replaces a Wind Chill Advisory. Watch the video below to learn more.
Look for partly cloudy skies and perhaps a few additional stray snow showers before dawn Monday, mainly north of Fort Wayne. Temperatures will be bitterly cold at slightly below zero levels and wind chills will be dangerously cold around -20° to start the day.
We'll be in the polar plunge all day Monday, with feels-like temperatures below zero all day long. Winds will gust up to 25 mph at times, which will keep us feeling very cold despite the sunshine of the day. Avoid leaving skin exposed to these bitterly cold temperatures; wear multiple layers and limit outdoor activities throughout Monday.

Tuesday is similar to Monday, but highs will only be in the single digits. Wind chills will stay in the -10° to -20° range through Wednesday morning.

Staying safe when it is bitterly cold outside
While still cold on Wednesday, it is a bit warmer, with highs back in the teens. We'll then rebound back into the 20s and even the 30s through the remainder of the week. Stay warm everyone!
