Fennon Henderson, deacon at Riverview Baptist Church, said the church has done "Unity" Sunday for years, but this year was the first Sunday the church was able to do the event after COVID. "So as the different fraternities, sororities and other organizations come and fellowship with us once again, we can start reconnecting -- actually as I talked about in the sermon today -- so we can do that which God has called us to do," Branch said. During the service, Branch said the church presented a gift to the KLM Scholarship Foundation, which provides scholarships to students with academic needs.
