Minor dies after WinstonSalem water rescue on Duck Pond Court

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. (WGHP) — The third minor that was taken to the hospital in life-threatening condition after a water rescue on Friday has died, the Winston-Salem Fire Department reports.
According to a statement posted to the WSFD's X account, the minor died Sunday.
On Friday, officials were told around 5 p.m. about three minors playing on a frozen pond in the area of 4000 Duck Pond Court, according to WSFD Assistant Chief Andrew Gray.
Two minors were taken out of the pond by a water rescue team and taken to the hospital.
