RPD investigating after one man shot, one injured on Avenue D

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) – Officers with the Rochester Police Department received reports of two men who had taken themselves to Rochester General Hospital after a shooting overnight Sunday.
One of the men, 33, had been shot multiple times on Avenue D near Harris Street. Officers say the second man, 42, was not shot but rather suffered abrasions to his face from a window that shattered as a result of the gunfire. Both men's injuries are not considered life-threatening.
Officers say there was a group of people with both men when the shooting happened and both men are from Rochester.
There are no suspects in custody in connection to this incident. Anyone with further information is asked to call 911 or Crime Stoppers at 585-423-9300.
