PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) -- Two men were arrested in Providence after allegedly threatening another person with a firearm. Police were called to the 200 block of Atwells Avenue after they say two men, a 37-year-old and 35-year-old, were threatening a caller with a gun. The suspects took off from the scene, but an officer later found the vehicle after it crashed into a parked car on Mount Pleasant Avenue. The 35-year-old was charged with disorderly conduct and reckless driving after security footage showed him pointing a firearm-like object in the direction of a crowd during a disturbance. The 37-year-old was found in possession of suspected narcotics at the accident scene and was referred to the narcotics division to faces charges. Officers found an air pistol resembling a firearm inside the vehicle. Both vehicles involved in the crash sustained significant damage and were towed from the scene.
