Two men arrested after crash in Providence

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) -- Two men were arrested in Providence after allegedly threatening another person with a firearm.
Police were called to the 200 block of Atwells Avenue after they say two men, a 37-year-old and 35-year-old, were threatening a caller with a gun.
The suspects took off from the scene, but an officer later found the vehicle after it crashed into a parked car on Mount Pleasant Avenue.
The 35-year-old was charged with disorderly conduct and reckless driving after security footage showed him pointing a firearm-like object in the direction of a crowd during a disturbance.
The 37-year-old was found in possession of suspected narcotics at the accident scene and was referred to the narcotics division to faces charges.
Officers found an air pistol resembling a firearm inside the vehicle. Both vehicles involved in the crash sustained significant damage and were towed from the scene.
Detectives were unable to find the original caller from Atwells Avenue
The investigation is ongoing.
