WARWICK, R.I. (WPRI) -- A precautionary water boil advisory notice for some residents in Warwick has been lifted. The Rhode Island Department of Health and Kent County Public Water System alerted customers to the notice on January 17 because of a water main break that could have caused the loss of water pressure to a portion of the water system. The Kent County Public Water System has since repaired the water main break, temporarily increased chlorine in the system to safe levels, flushed the water mains, and collected samples that showed there was no bacteria in the water.
