NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — One person is dead, and another has been arrested after a crash on Interstate 10 in New Orleans on Sunday, Jan. 19. The NOPD reported the crash happened on I-10 East at the Elysian Fields Exit around 5:41 a.m. Man kills wife, 2-year-old child in River Ridge double homicide, deputy-involved shooting NOPD officials said an initial report shows that a man was getting out of his Volkswagen Jetta after pulling over to inspect possible car issues when he was hit by a Ford F250 heading east on I-10. He was pronounced dead at the scene. According to the NOPD, the driver of the other vehicle, identified as 45-year-old Jerome Lamar Gross, was arrested and faces a driving under the influence charge.
