Turner’s Bar is a unique spot at the Stutz INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Turner’s Bar, located in the heart of the Stutz Business Center, is quickly becoming one of the most unique spots in Indianapolis. Blending tradition with a modern, inclusive atmosphere, the bar is redefining the social scene in the area. Head bartender Andre Hoggard recently sat down on Daybreak to share what makes Turner’s stand out from other local bars. “Turner’s is very special and unique. I’ve been bartending for five going on six years now, and I’ve worked all around the city. The diversity of people who come through our doors is unlike anything I’ve ever seen,” Hoggard said. One trend Hoggard noticed is a growing number of patrons who are choosing non-alcoholic options. “We’re seeing more people who don’t drink alcohol, and we’ve adapted to that. We offer mocktails, especially for people participating in Dry January. It’s important to us that everyone can have a good time, no matter their preferences,” he said. Turner’s also caters to adventurous drinkers. “We’re one of the few places in the area that serves Malort. It’s a bitter herbal liqueur with a distinct, unique flavor. Chicago made it famous, and it was one of the only liqueurs legal during Prohibition. It definitely sparks strong reactions—people either love it or hate it,” Hoggard said. Turner’s Bar isn’t just a place to grab a drink; it fosters a welcoming space for everyone, from longtime locals to first-time visitors, while maintaining the spirit of the Stutz community. Turner’s Bar is open Tuesday through Thursday from 3 – 11 p.m. and until midnight on weekends.
