Orr Fellowship offering opportunities for young professionals – 8 a.m. INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — The Orr Fellowship offers early career development opportunities for newly graduated college students. Stephen Emch, president of the Orr Fellowship, and Megan Green, director of marketing, joined Daybreak to welcome in their 2025 cohort. Offers were sent out to 72 talent individuals in Indianapolis to join the Orr Fellowship. For the first time, the program expanded to Evansville to welcome 15 people to their inaugural cohort. The individuals will be spread out across 65 different businesses in Indianapolis and Evansville. Once they’ve settled in the businesses, fellows are tasked with a challenge, Green said, “Teams of six to eight fellows will do a sprint exercise where they have two weeks to turn around a solution and present it to company executives.” Orr fellows are encouraged though this challenge to expand their work in the community outside of their 9-to-5. Teams are partnered with nonprofits across the state for the challenge, “and they provide solutions to whatever challenges the nonprofit has presented the fellows with,” Green said. People welcomed into the Orr fellowship get a chance to continue their high-achieving work outside of school. “A lot of times they have a broad set of interests and they have a track record of accomplishing quite a bit all through their collegiate career. We want the Orr Fellowship to just be a continuation of that story,” Emch said.
