Power restored to over 11,000 after outage in Concord

CONCORD, N.C. – More than 11,000 people were without power Sunday morning in Concord due to a faulty transmission line, according to the City of Concord.
The outage impacted thousands of residents across Concord around 8:30 a.m.
Power was restored to most customers around 10:45 a.m. City officials said approximately 2,400 are still without power, mostly near the Derita Road area.
Officials also said the outage originated from a fault in a transmission line. Crews isolated the circuit where the fault occurred and are working to restore power for all customers.
