2alarm Harris Teeter fire deemed intentionally set

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Investigators say a two-alarm fire at a Harris Teeter in Ballantyne has been deemed intentionally set.
That fire broke out just before 9:00 p.m. Friday night at the grocery store in the Blakeney Shopping Center.
It took 60 firefighters almost an hour to get those flames under control.
No one was hurt and damages are estimated at $20,000.
This case remains an open and active investigation at this time.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – A two-alarm blaze in south Charlotte around 9PM Friday night. It happened at the Harris Teeter in the Blakeney shopping center in Ballantyne.
Charlotte Fire says it took 60 firefighters almost an hour to get the fire under control. When they first got on scene, they saw heavy smoke coming from the building.
No one was hurt. This fire is under investigation.
