CHARLOTTE, N.C. – One person died and three others were seriously injured following a car crash in east Charlotte overnight. It happened early Sunday morning near the intersection of East W.T. Harris Boulevard and Hickory Grove Road. Police and Medic responded to the crash. Medic said one person was pronounced dead at the scene. Three others were transported to the hospital, one with life-threatening injuries and two with minor injuries. The intersection was shut down while police conducted an investigation, but it has since reopened. More details to come. Check back for updates.
