Southern takes down rival Grambling to remain undefeated in conference play

BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First News) — The Southern University men's basketball team remains unbeaten in conference play after a 67-60 victory over Grambling State University.
DaMariee Jones and Cam Amboree led the Jaguars in scoring with 15 and 13 points.
Grambling coach Donte’ Jackson was ejected in the game's final moments after a foul was called, sending the Jaguars to the free throw line with a chance to win.
That started a sequence of technical fouls.
The Jaguars are now 10-8 on the season. The team has also earned notable wins against Louisiana Tech and Tulsa, both from Group of Five conferences.
The Jaguars don't play again until Jan. 25, when they take on The University of Arkansas - Pine Bluff.
The Lady Jaguars also played Grambling and won 59-53. The Lady Jaguars are 4-1 in conference play.
