INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — A COLD WEATHER ADVISORY is in place from 7 pm Sunday to 10 am Wednesday in central Indiana. Multiple mornings will have wind chills of -10 to -20. This wording for the alert is brand new and replaced the wind chill advisory terminology.
TODAY: Mostly cloudy skies with spotty flurries. Little to no snow accumulation within any flurries. High temperatures were already reached in the mid-20s and will be falling gradually today. Skies become partly cloudy in the last hours of daylight with winds gusting to 25 mph.
TONIGHT: Skies clear out with dangerous wind chills of -10 to -20 later on as winds gust to 20 mph. Low temperatures around the zero mark.
TOMORROW: MLK day will start off cold. Plenty of sunshine is expected with high temperatures in the low teens.
7-DAY FORECAST: Arctic air lingers for a few more mornings, but the winds will not be as gusty. Single-digit highs are expected Tuesday before improving temperatures Wednesday afternoon. Spotty flurries or light snow enters the forecast for Thursday and Friday.
