PORTERVILLE, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) - With the help of a famous comedian, Eagle Mountain Casino announced they will be sending a semi-truck loaded with donations to firefighters battling the LA County fires. Along with the Tule River Tribe, the casino says they loaded up a 35ft semi with over 200 boxes full of donations from the #EMCLovesLA Donation Drive. The boxes will make their way to an official donation site in LA County. Officials say Comedian Anjelah Johnson Reyes helped kick off the campaign using her platform on social media and encouraging her sold-out audience on Jan. 11 at the casino to bring donations. Eagle Mountain Casino says they are still accepting donations until Jan. 31. They say clothes are not needed, mostly hygiene products and pet supplies. Those who donate will receive a bonus cash-free play.
