ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – A brewery helped a local animal shelter find permanent homes for its dogs. Bernalillo Count Animal Care Services kicked off its adoption event season on Saturday at the Craftroom near I-25 and Candelaria. All adoption fees were donation-based and the animals were all vaccinated, microchipped, and spayed or neutered. Proceeds will go to the county's quality of life community fund, which helps thousands of local pets. Bernalillo County commissioners approve changes to casitas zoning "We had an animal that was just adopted that had been with us, August. He was pretty much born in the shelter. I think he was just a couple of weeks old when he came in. He's been with us for nine months and he just went home," says Tiffany Chamblee, Bernalillo County Animal Care Services. Pets can be viewed at the Bernalillo County shelter's location on Second Street. It's open Tuesday through Thursday from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
