MANITOWOC, Wis. (WFRV) - U.S. District Attorney Gregory J. Haanstad for the Eastern District of Wisconsin announced on Friday that a 49-year-old Wisconsin man was sentenced to 300 months (25 years) in prison. Robert Nytes of Manitowoc was indicted on child pornography charges in October by a federal grand jury. In August 2023, officials were alerted that Nytes repeatedly sexually assaulted a minor and used the child to produce porn which he uploaded to multiple devices. He was charged and pled guilty to a federal charge of receiving child pornography. Judge William C. Griesbach said the crime was horrendous, and noted Nytes' history of these crimes when determining the 300-month sentence.
