WARD COUNTY, ND (KXNET) — The Ward County Sheriff's Department is warning people that scammers are once again impersonating law enforcement to solicit money — and they say people need to stay vigilant. The department says they've recently received multiple reports of people being called by scammers who demand payment for missing a grand jury selection or having been summoned for a grand jury. And these scammers are using the name, Deputy Keith Miller, requesting that people take money and put it in a kiosk. However, the department says this is a scam. They say if you have any questions or have received suspicious calls, you should contact the department's mainline at 701-857-6500. Close Thanks for signing up! Watch for us in your inbox.
