The Divisional round of the NFL Playoffs begins on Saturday, and after a bye during the Wild Card round, both No. 1 seeds will host their first playoff games of the 2024-25 post-season. Things start with the AFC No. 4 Houston Texans traveling to Missouri to take on the AFC No. 1 Kansas City Chiefs at 4:30 p.m. ET on ESPN, followed by NFC No. 6 Washington Commanders taking on the NFC No. 1 Detroit Lions at Ford Field at 8 p.m. ET on FOX. Texans at Chiefs Date: Saturday, January 18, 2025Time: 4:30 p.m. ETLocation: GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, MissouriTV: ESPNAnnouncers: Joe Buck, Troy Aikman, and Lisa Salters (field reporter)Online Streaming: ESPN+, ESPN APP, NFL Sunday Ticket via YouTube, NFL+ PremiumBetting line via FanDuel Sportsbook: Chiefs -8.5 points. While the Chiefs are coming off a bye week, the Texans needed to beat the Chargers in the Wild Card round to get to this stage. Unfortunately, they haven’t had much playoff success in Arrowhead, losing both of their previous playoff games in this venue in 2015 and 2019. Additionally, the Texans played in Kansas City in Week 16 and the Chiefs won 27-19. The winner of this game advances to the AFC Championship game which will be played on Sunday, January 26th at 6:30 p.m. ET on CBS. Commanders at Lions Date: Saturday, January 18, 2025Time: 8 p.m. ETLocation: Ford Field in Detroit, MichiganTV: FOXAnnouncers: Kevin Burkhardt, Tom Brady, and field reporters Erin Andrews, Tom RinaldiStreaming: FOX Sports, NFL Sunday Ticket via YouTube, NFL+ PremiumBetting line via FanDuel Sportsbook: Lions -9.5 points. Detroit also had a bye last week, while Washington needed to beat the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the Wild Card round. This was the Commanders' first playoff win since 2005. The Lions and Commanders have faced each other three times in their playoff histories, with Washington winning all three back in 1982, 1991, and 1999. This will be the first time these teams have met in the post-season in Detroit and will offer the Lions another opportunity to vanquish their demons with a victory. The winner of this game advances to the NFC Championship game which will be played on Sunday, January 26th at 3 p.m. ET on FOX.
