APPLETON, Wis. (WFRV) - This past week an Appleton Police Department officer finished delivering groceries found in the vehicle of the delivery driver he had taken into custody. The Appleton Police Department recognized one of its officers for going above and beyond his regular duties this past week after a traffic stop. A Facebook post from the Department recognized Officer Norris for what he did after taking a driver into custody who had an active warrant for their arrest. That driver just so happened to be in the middle of delivering groceries to a resident. Madison PD mourning loss of Detective who died after suffering medical event on duty Officer Norris personally made sure that the resident got their groceries. Demonstrating exceptional care and commitment to the community, Officer Norris went above and beyond by personally ensuring the groceries were delivered promptly, preventing unnecessary inconvenience for everyone involved.
