(COLORADO SPRINGS) — A man admitted to deliberately driving over a curb and into a barrier wall outside police headquarters, saying he was attempting to escape people who were trying to kill him, according to the Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD). CSPD said that around 10:30 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 17, a man came into the police headquarters and admitted to driving his vehicle into the curb and hitting a barrier wall and bench outside the main entrance of the building. He claimed that several unknown people were chasing and wanting to kill him, so he was trying to get police attention. After talking to officers, the man agreed to be taken to the hospital for an emergency mental health hold. The man's vehicle was impounded and charges are pending, according to CSPD.
