The Lyle Area Cancer Auction moved into its second day of its 46th annual event Saturday. It follows a successful first day Friday night where the auction raised $83,004, $48,299 of which was raised by 9:30 p.m. One of the items, a volleyball, has been re-auctioned to the point where as of the start of Saturday’s auction had raised $10,600. “Yesterday was amazing,” LAC Chair Larry Ricke told Saturday’s crowd. “It’s cold out there, but it gets hot in here.” Check back to www.austindailyherald.com at the beginning of the week for an update on the total money raised.
