MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Md. (DC News Now) -- Crews in Montgomery County were called to two separate crashes as roads remained icy and wet Saturday morning. In a post on X, Pete Piringer, with the Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services said the first crash happened just before 9 a.m. in the 14100 block of River Road where the roads were icy, near Petit Way, in Potomac. Piringer said "several vehicles" were involved and one of the vehicles rolled over. It is unclear if anyone was hurt during the collision. Police searching for missing 96-year-old man last seen in Seat Pleasant Less than 30 minutes later, Piringer shared on X that first responders were called to another crash in the 18600 block of Brooke Road, near Chandlee Mill Road, in Sandy Spring. There, crews learned that a vehicle had slammed into a tree, near Celebrity Lane. Officials said medics evaluated two people and others at the scene. Due to hazardous road conditions, some lanes were blocked off. Officials are encouraging drivers to "SLOW DOWN" as roads across the area remain icy, wet and slick on Saturday.
