ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) – Crews with the Rochester Fire Department were called to a structure fire early Saturday morning in Rochester on Emerson Street near Sawdey Way. When firefighters arrived to the scene they found heavy smoke and flames coming from the second floor of a vacant 2.5 wood-frame structure at around 6 a.m. The structure sustained significant fire damage to the second floor and the attic. No one was injured during the fire. The fire was under control shortly before 6:50 a.m. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
