3 dead following River Ridge double homicide, deputyinvolved shooting

RIVER RIDGE, La. (WGNO) — Three people are dead following a double homicide and deputy-involved shooting that happened in the early morning hours of Saturday, Jan. 18.
According to the Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office, deputies were called to a home in the 10000 block of Stephen Drive around 4 a.m. on report of multiple people having been shot inside.

On arrival, an adult female and a juvenile female were found unresponsive, having been shot. Two other juvenile females were also found suffering from gunshot wounds.
Two arrested in nearly 6-month long drug investigation
Deputies say that, while securing the home, they found a man armed with a gun. Multiple deputies fired at the suspect during the encounter, hitting him several times. The two unresponsive victims as well as the suspect were then pronounced dead on scene.
The other two wounded victims were taken to a local hospital to receive treatment.
Law enforcement officials say the initial investigation indicated that the suspect had shot all four victims inside the house before being found and killed by deputies.
The incident remains under investigation. No further information was provided.
