Courtesy of AlphaMedia USA Lincoln.LINCOLN–(KFOR Jan. 17)–Lincoln Northeast on Friday night picked up their ninth win of the boys basketball season by getting a game-high 26 points from senior guard Lazerek Houston, as the Class A No. 8 Rockets defeated Lincoln Southwest 70-64 at Southwest. Northeast (9-3) got 11 of their 16 fourth quarter points from Houston, including the last five points of the game to seal the victory. The Rockets, who picked up their fourth straight win, outscored the Silver Hawks 22-11 in the second quarter. Southwest (7-5) trailed by as much as 16 points in the first half, but chipped away at the deficit in the fourth quarter, when Hudson Metzger hit three, three-pointers before Houston sealed it for Northeast. Junior guard Hayden Tenopir added 15 points for the Rockets, all from behind the three-point line, while senior Mo Abdalla added 10 points. Makkiah Sanders led Southwest with 14 points in the loss.
