KOKOMO, Ind. — A person is dead after a fire raged at their home Friday night, the Kokomo Fire Department announced on Saturday. According to KFD, fire crews were dispatched to a residence on the 1100 block of N. Armstrong St. around 11:08 p.m. on Friday. Five minutes later, they noticed a house fire with heavy fire showing on the front side of the building. Due to a partial collapse of the house's structure and extreme heat, firefighters said their attempts to rescue a resident proved unsuccessful.
