Sip and Share Wine cultivating wine community INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Each and every Saturday, WISH-TV highlights a local company together with our partners at Indiana Grown. This week, the founder and CEO of Sip & Share Wines, Nicole Kearney, joined Daybreak to share her Black woman owned, family operated boutique vegan winery. Sip & Share Wines started six years ago to simply wine by sharing education and experiences while connecting a community where all are invited to appreciate and enjoy wine. Creating vegan wine options keeps Sip & Share Wines all-inclusive, Kearney said. “Most people don’t realize that wine is fine with animal byproducts, fish bladder, milk protien, gelatin, egg white, and pork gelatin, but we use just clay. So it makes it even greater for the body, for the skin, and even greater when it’s going down,” Kearney said. But it’s not just about creating inclusive wine, it’s about simplifying wine to make it easier to introduce. “It’s really simplifying wine so that anyone who’s interested can just feel at home. And that’s what we’re about, connecting community with wine. We want people to sip, share, and connect with us,” Kearney said. After six years, Kearney is excited to say that Sip & Share Wines is opening a tasting room where people can come in the second quarter of 2025. “After that, people just have to follow us on social media to see all the wonderful, fun things we have coming up,” she said. Sip & Share Wines’ selection is available at five Total Wine locations, select Big Red Liquors, Kahn’s Fine Wine & Spirits, and on their website.
