Both drivers of headon Langlade County crash die at scene, 2 passengers hospitalized

ELCHO, Wis. (WFRV) - Two people were pronounced dead at the scene of a head-on crash in Langlade County early Saturday morning on USH 45 and CTH B.
According to the Langlade County Sheriff's Office, the crash happened on January 18 around 5:55 a.m. in the Town of Elcho.
Deputies say that the driver of a northbound vehicle on USH 45 allegedly crossed the centerline and collided with a southbound vehicle with three occupants.

Both drivers were pronounced dead at the scene. Both passengers of the southbound vehicle were taken to a nearby hospital. Deputies noted in the release that the extent of their injuries was not available.
The crash remains under investigation by the Wisconsin State Patrol Crash Reconstruction Unit The Elcho Fire Department, Fire District Alpha, Antigo Fire Department/EMS, and the Langlade County Highway Department also assisted at the scene.
