CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Police are investigating a deadly crash that happened overnight in southwest Charlotte. The crash was reported early Saturday morning on Steele Creek Road just south of West Boulevard and Byrum Drive. The cause of the crash is unclear at this time but police said they are conducting a fatal crash investigation. A small portion of Steele Creek Road remains closed in both directions. The road is expected to reopen around 10 a.m. Saturday morning.
