ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) – As part of the Rochester Americans Military Appreciation Night the Flower City Warriors veteran hockey team are set to face off against the Buffalo Warriors. The team is a veteran owned, non-profit organization that helps provide a community to veterans and help them engage with others. Tickets purchased for this game included a ticket to tonight's Amerks game as well as a 5-dollar donation to the Veteran's outreach program. According to the team's president, this is more than just a game to the veterans in the community. The Flower City Warriors lost 6 to 3 but still had a great game. You can catch the team alongside the Amerks at Friday's game at the Blue Cross Arena at 7:05 p.m.
