Nation's top high school athletes showcase talent at Hoophall Classic in Springfield, day 2 of tournament

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - The nation's most elite high school basketball players are taking on teams from around the country at the 2025 Army National Guard Hoophall Classic at Springfield College. The tournament will continue throughout the holiday weekend with the final day of games taking place on Monday. "It's great to see the talent that could be in the NBA," shared Brian Gaudreau, a basketball player from Bedford, New Hampshire. The birthplace of basketball is hosting the start of tomorrow for the 23rd year. "Many of these top players are either already committed to the highest level of division one," shared Greg Procino, Vice President of the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame. Hoophall Classic is known for the exposure it gives to young athletes. Some of them strive to play at the Division I level in college and dream of making it to the pros. "I mean Geno Auriemma was here watching some of this game or you know even higher levels up into the NBA or WNBA," shared Greg Procino Vice President of the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame.
