ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – From flowers to movie scenes, thousands of unique creations made of Legos are coming to Albuquerque this weekend for The Brick Convention.  Show-stopping Lego creations from professional builders will be on full display at Expo New Mexico starting Saturday returning for a second year with even more to see. "There's something for everybody," said Amado Canlas Pinlac, "AC Pin", Professional Lego builder.  Story continues below Investigation: How tipster claims APD DWI corruption scheme worked Community: BCSO launching its ‘Drone as First Responder Program’ Crime: Vehicle that fled from police in New Mexico found struck by train Don't Miss: How to glimpse a parade of planets in the January night sky The New Mexico Brick Convention returns to Albuquerque with hundreds of unique Lego masterpieces and a chance for collectors to find missing pieces they've been looking for. "It's fun to have someone come in and light up because I have the piece that they were missing or what that they needed to make whatever they are making perfect," said Melissa Bauer, vendor.   But it's not just the businesses and artists setting up shop. The event will also have Lego professionals on hand with some of the most unique projects out there.  "These are creations that are out of the box, I take pieces from different sets like other people other hobbyists like me, and make our own creations," said AC Pin.  AC's passion for Star Wars is what got him into Lego building 25 years ago. He eventually got into botanical builds for his wife sometimes building flowers from piles of random pieces. "It's a good feeling to have people enjoy your work," said AC Pin.    Lego masters from the Fox reality TV show will also be on hand taking questions from New Mexicans about the hobby that's found an audience from kids to adults.  "Lego is not really anymore as a kids toy. It's a building medium, it's an artwork. Everyone has their own design and technique and stuff and everyone has their own specialty," said Brennon Velarde, local Lego builder, NMLUG.  The event starts Saturday and goes through Sunday at the state fairgrounds. Kids under two are free but for everyone else tickets are $15 online and $20 at the door. A portion of the proceeds from the event are being donated to Creations for Charity a nonprofit that buys new Lego sets for underprivileged children around the world.
