Anderson was originally released from custody, but when the New Mexico Supreme Court reversed the decision, he cut off his ankle monitor and fled. He was later found and arrested again.
On Friday, a jury found Anderson guilty of first-degree murder and tampering charges. He is facing up to life in prison.
