Jan 17, 2025
NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — Pepsi is hosting a contest to crown the greatest seafood boil restaurant in The Big Easy for The Big Game.
The competition is heating up like a spicy crawfish boil for Pepsi's "Super Bowl Boil Showdown."
"You have a chance to vote for those restaurants to see which two will show up and compete in a tailgate-style showdown," Luis Lopez Del Castillo, Director of Marketing for Pepsi South Division said.

He went on to say, "The number one thing is food brings people together, and that's the idea here."
You can vote starting Jan. 17 through Jan. 24, on Pepsi's website, for the eight restaurants competing.
The contenders are: Mr. Shrimp's Kitchen, Pee Wee's Crabcakes, Pra-Lee's, Dee's X-quisite Seafood, Melba's Po-Boys, William's Seafood, Dry Dock Cafe and Crawlin's Seafood.
The top two restaurants will be the ones competing in the "Super Bowl Boil Showdown" on Friday Feb. 7 at the Riverwalk Gazebo in Woldenberg Park from Noon to 2 p.m.
The Anatomy of a Crawfish
"We ask that the restaurants use a shrimp, crawfish base, with potato and corn, and then after that it is up to them. The idea is to showcase these restaurants to not only locals, but people coming in," Lopez Del Castillo said.
You can register to get free tickets to go to the event and try the food starting on Jan. 27 on Pepsi's website.
