(KRON) – A little over a year since the Antioch Barnes & Nobles closed after 20 years of business, another Bay Area Barnes & Nobles is closing its doors for good.  Sunday will be the last day of operation of the Barnes & Noble in the Almaden Plaza at 5353 Almaden Expressway. Per the bookstore, all the books are 75 percent off. Moraga brewery set to open new East Bay location The bookstore cafe has already closed.  Per store employees, the stores were notified months ago regarding the closure. According to the store’s employees, only management was offered employment beyond the day of closure at other locations, the associates were not.  The nearest Barnes & Noble store is located at 3600 Stevens Creek Blvd. in San Jose.  This closure may come as a surprise for bookworms. According to Business Insider, Barnes & Noble CEO James Daunt said the bookstore company plans to open in the United States in 2025.
