Prepare snowblowers as weekend snow approaches
Jan 17, 2025
CHICOPEE, Mass. (WWLP) - We haven't seen much snow this winter but it looks like there is some snow on the way this weekend.
If you haven't used your snowblower in a while you should check to make sure it's going to work for when you need it next.
We really haven't seen much in the way of accumulating snow since early December and if you haven't used you're snowblower this winter you should make sure it starts before the next snowstorm arrives.
Marty Jagodowski of Taplin Yard, Pump, and Power Equipment told 22News, "The rodents get in there, they love power equipment, they go in there they make their nest and they'll eat anything that's in there they'll eat right through the fuel line, the gas has nowhere to go and just comes out the bottom."
Even if you had it serviced back in the fall you should make sure it starts now. You should also check the oil and make sure the blades work as well. And right now it looks like you may need that snowblower later this weekend.
